10 minute Healthy Vegan Nutella

dairy free Nutella?!

Finally, all of my cravings since becoming a vegan have been satisfied. I’ve been wanting to come up with a Nutella alternative for a while as I literally used to eat it out of the jar. I’d go through a jar in a few days. Probably explained the chubbiness!

So here is a dairy free version. Food processors and patience to the test, don’t be disheartened if this takes a little while to come together in your food processor. It is so worth the wait!

Spread on toast, crackers, dip fruit into it, or like me just eat it straight from the jar.

takes approx. 10 minutes

125g hazelnuts
75ml soya milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
20g cacao powder
50ml maple syrup
2 tablespoons of coconut oil (melted)

1. In a food processor add your hazelnuts and coconut oil and blitz until your nuts have formed into a butter. This may take a few minutes depending on your food processor. The sides may need scraping down a few times.
2. Then add your soya milk, vanilla extract, cacao powder and maple syrup. Blitz until combined and consistency is to your desire.

Store in fridge!
