A snack-tastic way to prepare for the week!
Prepping snacks is an absolute must in my household, and something that I can’t recommend enough. Fair enough if you can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and not need anything in between. But I’m a snack kinda gal, and ALWAYS need a lil something at about 3.30-4pm or before and after a workout.
That’s where these bites of goodness come in. Again containing our beloved Oatwell oat bran powder, only 4 ingredients are required. They take minutes to make, and just need about half an hour in the fridge to firm up. Full of good fats from the peanut butter, and natural sweeteners from the dates, the texture is heavenly.
Making snacks like these not only saves you time from finding a shop when you’re out and about, but also saves you so much money. So it seems like a no brainer to me. Have a couple of these in your back pocket for emergencies!
takes approx. 35 minutes
Ingredients
225g dates (soaked in boiling water for 15 minutes and drained)
100g smooth peanut butter
30g oats
5 scoops of Oatwell powder
Method
1. Place the drained dates in the food processor or blender, and blitz until a paste is formed. You may have to scrape down the sides a couple of times.
2. Next, add peanut butter, oats and Oatwell powder, and blitz again until combined.
3. Roll mixture into approximately 16 balls weighing 25 grams, and place on a plate in the fridge to set for 30 minutes.
